AUDIO APPETIZERS
Of the many sets ever played, only so few ever get recorded on video in full, with direct sound, and without incident – fellow DJ’s, I know you feel my irritation at those pesky TECHNICAL ISSUES. These are a few of my #RektDeck Sessions, mostly recorded during the height of the pandemic, streamed on Twitch and the like. Sometimes these episodes soley feature myself (though regularly kept company by my Super Internet Buddies), while other times I’m joined by friends for some of my most fun B2B sessions ever. Aside from that, there is OUTPOST – a homegrown, weekly show painstakingly curated by Raul Lee – which I am so psyched that I got to play for, being such a big fan of the show.
Entahlah, February 2024 –
Entahlah is best embodied by her a name, which translates to “don’t know lah” in Malay – she loves nothing more than to dart between genres and surprise her audiences. The founder and curator of REKT DECK SESSIONS, you can sometimes catch her playing around Kuching, Kuala Lumpur or a livestream.
Her set here is a quick mix powerhouse hour that is mainly Garage-based, but frequently blends Deep House, Tech House and Indie tracks, with a number of remixes to keep it familiar and have you singing along.
REKT DECK SESSIONS was Out to Play with our first ever party on the 17 February 2024 at HAUS, Kuching. Our proudly all-local lineup consisted of some of Kuching’s finest DJ’s as well as up-and-coming acts, namely The Pharmacist DJ, AWG, Keeyushee, Entahlah and Intan.
REKT DECK SESSIONS is a platform for DJs to showcase the music they love best, with no borders or boundaries to limit them. We want to keep DJing fun and fresh while also building up a community that grows together.
OUTPOST After Hours: Raul Lee b2b Entahlah Techno Set, November 2023 – I play a darker, moodier set for the beginning half of this episode.
